-Medovukha (Honey-Vodka) with my roommate's Russian husband here at the sublet

-Home-made Iced Tea with the Unwired one.

Maker's Mark and soda at Bar on A, the first stop of last weekend's new york trip. We rolled into the lower east side at about 10:30, just in time to catch the end of Alicia's friend's set and grab a drink before Andrew and I headed back out to Astoria to spend the night at Nick's place. Ah, New York!

Kendall Jackson 2005 Riesling. A little too fruity-sweet, but definitely superior to my usual misguided wine selections. Sampled at Carlo's, the surlrisingly great little italian restaurant right around the corner from my Gardner St. apartment in Allston. Shared with Misa, Mia, and Janelle, my roomates for the summer.

Drank a Kenyan Tusker Lager with one of my best friends from college and my best guy while eating ethiopoian (or was it eritrean) food for the first time in Cambridge, MA. It was cold and creamy-tasting and perfect!

Hello. At a certain point everybody starts writing about things. It is desirable to illuminate the hazy corners of life. And the best way to do this is with some vehicle. A theme. Like Einstein and physics or Tolstoy and cutting hay. My theme will be beverages. Whenever I drink something interesting, think of something interesting to drink, or want to drink something that for one reason or another I cannot have, you'll be able to read about it here and, hopefully, be illuminated by it.

Today is monday.
I have been drinking unsweetened cranberry juice with club soda and lime. It's tart and refreshing. And bubbly.
